Peer Health Educators

Peer Health Educators are a peer education group dedicated to providing accurate health and wellness information, fostering open and safe environments, debunking assumptions, and reaching out to the diverse communities of ��챬��.

The group’s goal is to help students develop the tools needed to make informed choices and to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. They actively engage and present information to students on a variety of wellness topics such as alcohol and other drugs, stress, sexual health, healthy relationships, and sleep.

Peer Health Educators are Be Well student employees.

Workshops

Workshops allow Peer Health Educators to reach many different student groups here at Mount Holyoke. Workshops are about one hour long and can be done in many spaces on campus.

This interactive program helps students understand what stress is, how stress manifests in the body, how to manage commitments, and how to maximize sleep.

This hands-on program provides tools to understand what is in a drink, factors that influence the body's ability to metabolize alcohol, how to reduce the risk, and discusses common myths about drinking.

This workshop talks about what options are out there for safer sex between people of all genders and how desire works.
